Publisher Description:
Pastor Paul is a young seminary graduate called as interim pastor to a small rural church. He is full of zeal, but mostly for self-promotion. He sincerely loves the Lord but his past emotional wounds leave him vulnerable and in need of attention and affirmation. He constantly frustrates his angel, Saldu, who tries to steer him toward a more humble attitude.

Sarah Edwards is a new church member, a recent widow who gets saved at age 71. Unknown to her, Sarah has two angels to help disciple her and she is maturing rapidly in the faith. She is confused by her prophetic gifting, which leads her to offend some church members. She also prayer walks in front of Pastor Paul’s house. When his wife sees her pacing back and forth “talking to no one,” Paul quickly writes her off as a “wacko.”

Through the lives of Paul and Sarah you will see that the really wonderful news is that living a life pleasing to God has nothing to do with gritting your teeth and trying harder (again and again and again). God rewards you for simple, loving, serving actions throughout your days, stepping outside your own concerns to truly see others in His name.

From a 5-star review: “If you love Christian fiction, you have to read this book. It is absolutely anointed with something remarkable on just about every page. I've never read a fiction book like it although Peretti's This Present Darkness comes close. I'm about to finish it and I'm going to re-read it immediately. There's so much in it! And it's fiction.”

The Highly Sensitive Person By Elaine Aron

RECOMMENDED BOOKS: The Highly Sensitive Person

http://amzn.to/1mNe1eS [Several good books, not free.]

I posted an article recently about highly sensitive people, and a whole lot of folks identified with it. It seems that a lot of prophetic folks fit in the “highly sensitive” category, which shouldn’t be a surprise.

A friend recommended this book for folks in the “highly sensitive” category, to learn how to survive, and even to thrive, in an overstimulating world. There are several books here. Note that they are not written from the Christian perspective, but from a psychology perspective. Still profitable (or “prophetable,” if you prefer).

From the publisher: Do you have a keen imagination and vivid dreams? Is time alone each day as essential to you as food and water? Are you “too shy” or “too sensitive” according to others? Do noise and confusion quickly overwhelm you? If your answers are yes, you may be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP).

Most of us feel overstimulated every once in a while, but for the HSP, it’s a way of life. In this groundbreaking book, Dr. Elaine Aron, a clinical psychologist, workshop leader, and an HSP herself, shows you how to identify this trait in yourself and make the most of it in everyday situations. Drawing on her many years of research and hundreds of interviews, she shows how you can better understand yourself and your trait to create a fuller, richer life. Updated with a new Author’s Note, including the latest scientific research, and a fresh discussion of anti-depressants for HSPs, this edition of The Highly Sensitive Person also includes:

§         Self-assessment tests to help you identify your particular sensitivities
§         Ways to reframe your past experiences in a positive light and gain greater self-esteem in the process
§         Insight into how high sensitivity affects both work and personal relationships
§         Tips on how to deal with overarousal
§         Information on medications and when to seek help
§         Techniques to enrich the soul and spirit

From a 5-star review: “In this unique book, research psychologist Elaine Aron breaks new psychological ground by defining a personality trait inadequately explored in the past, a trait that an estimated 15-20% of the U.S. population carries. The trait manifests in a highly sensitive nervous system present from birth and probably inherited, much like other personality traits or physical features. Highly sensitive people, or HSPs as Aron calls people who possess this trait, are much more sensitive to nearly everything they experience -- from the sensory characteristics of objects and events, to the subtleties of inner feelings and relationships between people. As a result of this heightened awareness to everything in their environment, highly sensitive people in our culture are often told, "You're too sensitive for your own good," and are admonished to develop a "tougher skin."

Ms. Aron discusses the ways in which people with this trait have frequently been mislabeld in the past, often branded as "shy," "introverted," or "neurotic," even by professionals. She goes to great lengths to define and describe the sensitivity trait as it influences an individual's life, providing both research evidence and personal anecdotes from the scores of people interviewed for her work. The evidence illustrates that being a highly sensitive person is both a blessing and a burden, depending upon a number of different factors in the life history of the individual. Possessing this trait can make life challenging at times but Ms. Aron, herself an HSP, emphasizes that being sensitive is not a psychological disorder or a personality flaw to get rid of. The sensitivity trait is merely a part of an individual's personality.”

The Practice of the Presence of God, by Brother Lawrence

FREE BOOK! The Practice of the Presence of God the Best Rule of a Holy Life.
By Brother Lawrence

http://amzn.to/NB4dIh [Kindle is free; Paperback starting at ten cents here & here.]
http://bit.ly/FreeKindleReaders [You’ll need this]

This is one of the true classics of Christian mystics and believers who love God’s presence.

Here is one of the most beautiful and touching stories of Christian devotion ever written. Brother Lawrence was a Carmelite Brother known for his profound peace and deep relationship with God; many came to seek spiritual guidance from him.

The wisdom that he passed on to them, in conversations and in letters, would later become the basis for the book. This edition has two translations of this book to help the reader find a more complete understanding of this wonderful and enduring story.

A former soldier, French mystic Nicholas Herman, aka Brother Lawrence (1611-1691), was converted to a powerful love of God at age 18 by a humble observation of nature.

In his monastery kitchen discovered an overwhelming delight in God's presence. His thoughts, collected in these two uncomplicated works of devotion, remain among the most pure and most powerful adorations of the divine.

[From a 5-star review]  “Everything is found in His presence. Words can't capture the essence of the profound experience of the intimate place. Brother Lawrence however is an amazing individual with the gift of transferring experience through language.

I would say this book should be a staple in every home. Our children should have it on their must read list. Short opinion disclaimer: I don't believe our suffering comes from God. He doesn't torture us into something better. He is though found more profound in our suffering. Grace flows super-abundantly in weakness. This is a must read. Enjoy.

Flesh: Bringing the Incarnation Down to Earth

By Hugh Halter

http://amzn.to/1lnLw9m [Kindle version is free right now]
http://bit.ly/FreeKindleReaders [You’ll need this]

If we’re honest, no one really cares about theology unless it reveals a gut-level view of God’s presence. According to pastor and ministry leader Hugh Halter, only the incarnational power of Jesus satisfies what we truly crave, and once we taste it, we’re never the same.

God understands how hard it is to be human, and the incarnation—God with us—enables us to be fully alive. With refreshing, raw candor, Flesh reveals the faith we all long to experience—one based on the power of Christ in the daily grind of work, home, school, and life. For anyone burned out, disenchanted, or seeking a fresh honest-to-God encounter, Flesh will invigorate your faith.

From a 5-star review:

I have read all of Hugh's books and I think this is his best so far. It's encouraging and personal, yet challenging as well. There were many times I put the book down for a moment and went "duh" why didn't I think of that? -other than those moments I could not put it down. You will not be disappointed. Great read. Excellent for those trying to wrap their minds around the whole Jesus as fully man and fully God.

This book is broken up into six sections. The first section, "Incarnation," explores what we mean when we talk about Christ's incarnation and what it means for us to be incarnational as a faith community. The second section, "Reputation," is probably the most helpful section of the book. Here Halter explores the ins and outs of how one goes about being incarnational.

A major part of being incarnational is earning a reputation in a community that gives you authority to speak into the deeper issues of people's lives. You do this by avoiding shallow religiosity, planting yourself down in a community long term, working well, and practicing hospitality. Doing these things goes a very long way and actually set us up for having the type of conversations he describes in the third section, "Conversation."

As we incarnate God's presence in the world our conversations must be filled with truth, but they must also be filled with grace. We must also learn not to point people to our church or to our religion. We must learn to point people to Jesus first. This means that the name of King Jesus must constantly been on our lips, and we must ooze out the gospel in our conversations.

Eventually these conversations lead to a confrontation; the next section is aptly name "Confrontation." It only consists of one chapter, but it's a very important one. It's the chapter that most people are probably waiting for ("when are we going to talk about evangelism!"). Halter makes the important point that this final step - evangelism - is supposed to be a spirit led and inspired moment. He concludes this book with a section titled, "Transformation," where he addresses the issue of conversion without discipleship.

Editor's Comment: These are the kind of tools that I’ve been using to develop my dream language and develop skill with it. One of the biggest needs is to write the dream down the instant you wake; the problem is that I don’t want to wake my sweetheart, so the lighted pen and the paper journal work for this, whether I’ve awakened in the middle of the night, or when I first wake up in the morning.

Later, over coffee (preferably with a trusted friend), I work on interpreting the dream: identifying the symbolism and working out the mysteries of the application involved. I have a personal blog where I keep track of them.

A typical review on the Dream Journal: “This has been a great tool to keep track of dreams. I have always had dreams, but never really documented them. This journal gives you an introduction to keeping track of the messages that are contained in your dreams and easy ways to remember the dreams and the perfect template to write them down. I especially love the symbol library in the back of the journal. I use this every time I have a dream to help me decode the message in my dream. Such a fun and useful tool to help you in tracking your dreams. I highly recommend this journal. So easy to use.

Feel free to share this with your fellow dreamers! And get ready to discover the richness that Father reveals in your dreams!

Authority, Accountability and the Apostolic Movement

http://www.badchurchexperience.com [pdf version, free w/ signup.]
http://amzn.to/1jv870G [Kindle & paper versions, priced.]

There is a new apostolic movement afoot, and it is leading many from the simplicity of the pure gospel. To be legitimate, the teaching emphasis and ministry expression of present-day apostles and prophets must reflect a correct gospel foundation: . the person and work of Christ as its focus, . spiritual death and resurrection as its method, . and the indwelling Spirit as its power.

Instead, the new apostolic reformation movement, with its emphasis on apostolic authority, "spiritual covering," loyalty, honor, submission, and government, has become the vehicle to build the philosophies and kingdoms of men.

Dr. Stephen Crosby's third book, Authority, Accountability, and the Apostolic Movement, probes these and other authority/submission issues from a biblically disciplined, Christ-centered, New Covenant perspective. Within these pages, every believer, church leader, apostle, or prophet who may have wandered from the simplicity of the gospel can find the road to recovery.

From a 5-star review: “Reading this book is like stopping at a scenic overlook for the first time. It may look down on a valley in which you've always lived, but seeing it from a different vantage point brings a new and fresh appreciation for the everyday things that surround you. Familiarity with the up-close details of our own limited environment can actually cause us to lose perspective of where it all fits in context with the rest of the scenery. As we take the effort to get out of our comfort zone, and look at the lay of the land from a broader point of view, everything takes on new and fresh beauty that we couldn't have imagined before. This book breathes new life into the Biblical landscape of authority and submission.

During my life of faith, even as a child or a young man, I have often had inner thoughts and views, concerning the landscape of Kingdom life, which I would be hard-pressed to voice with clarity to someone else. It was like everyone else was seeing the forest, but I was seeing the trees. I knew intuitively, deep inside of me, that what I was seeing was correct, but I couldn't adequately explain myself. Numerous times, while reading this book, I found my spirit saying: "That's it! I knew it all along!"

Much of what Steve shares in this book is in sharp contrast and confrontation to the status quo. It's startling enough to make your eyes pop open wide; but simultaneously with the shock, your spirit shouts, "That's the truth!" A lot of this book cuts to the heart! It hurts. But a skilled surgeon is more concerned with your long-term survival, than with your immediate physical comfort. Reading this book is also like undergoing a spiritual corrective surgery.

Taking in a scenic overlook is fun. Having surgery is not. Both can be necessary in this life.”

Is fear holding you back from being used powerfully by God? Are you afraid of confrontation? Do you try to please people? Find out how to get out of the grip of intimidation! Bevere biblically explains your source of spiritual authority, exposes the ways people intimidate you, and reveals the secrets to breaking free once and for all.

Countless Christians battle intimidation, which is camouflaged and subtle. Many feel the effects—depression, confusion, lack of faith—without knowing its root. Bevere guides readers below the surface to see the roots of intimidation. Readers will understand why it is hard to say no, why the fear confrontation and avoid conflict, and why they focus on pleasing others. Readers will learn to identify intimidation and know how to break its hold.

Bevere explains how the fear of God keeps us from a life of ungodliness and produces confidence and boldness. Bevere advises, "Walk in your own God-given authority, or someone else will take it from you and use it against you."

Comment: As always, eat the meat & spit out the bones.

From a 5-star review: “When I heard about John, I thought he would be just another rigid fundamentalist -- sin-conscious and unable to relate to the common Christian. Instead, what I heard was a message of *balance*. He rightfully points out that many of us love God but few of us *respect* Him.

As a result we give place, by surrendering our own place, to the devil. The authority God intended for us is taken from us and used against us! This began with Adam who gave place (authority) to the devil and the devil has exercised that authority against man ever since.

John Bevere has a powerful anointing as a result of recognizing his own authority and resisting spiritual intimidation; it shows in this book.

I've been a spirit-filled believer for nearly 20 years and I can't remember being affected so strongly by the words of a minister. Since recognizing my own authority and the temptations to surrender it through various forms of intimidation, I have found a new power and focus. This book helped me do that.”

There's a lot of national debate about how so many of us got this way, but most experts agree we're sitting at our desks or on the couch too much and not moving our bodies enough. And yes, there is just too much good food (and bad food) everywhere, including on our dinner plates.

This serious public health issue continues to build, and it is estimated that 73 percent of American adults will be overweight or obese. We are long overdue in reversing this trend!

I hope that this collection of recipes will help you make smart food choices every day. These low-carb recipes - from the Mediterranean Beef Kabobs to the Crab Chowder - taste really good, and I have trimmed fat and calories to make each recipe better for you and your family.

The benefits of smart eating and maintaining a healthy weight are tremendous - including that feel-good feeling every time you look in the mirror.

[From a 5-star review]: “Just the exact information I need and not a bunch of filler to sift through. I am a pescatarian and loved all the sea food options. Some other books I've bought were 99% grilled chicken ideas ;-) Also, I like spicy stuff so was happy to find some spicy dishes in here as well. A big surprise was the "spiced popcorn." Never had it, maybe I will tonight for movie time.”

Elijah, Steps to a Life of Power

http://amzn.to/1hfbJ62 [Kindle Version is free!]

This book is a guide, tracking the life of the Old Testament prophet Elijah, to discover God’s plan for us, and learn how to receive his power to accomplish that plan.

Each of our lives is a story with a sum total that adds up to something. What does your life add up to so far? What will people say about you when your story ends? Will you make a difference? When people talked about Elijah, they said that the purpose of his life was to turn the hearts of the people back to the worship of the one true God. They said that his mission was: “…to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

God has given you a purpose and a mission as well. God has a plan for every life. My hope for you as you read this book is that when you are done you will not be satisfied, but hungry, hungry to hear the infinite God of the universe speak to you as a lover speaks to his bride. I pray that you will finish, panting for more.

[From a 5-star review] : “I had no idea this book would have such a powerful impact on me. It is one of those books you don't really know you need to read until you do and then while you are reading it you feel like the book was written for you...

I really love Bob's writing style, it flows nicely and word after word is full of encouragement and gentle nudging to simply have the faith to move forward in whatever it is God is calling you to do, even if you are afraid and feel completely unworthy.

If you are looking for a great book that will encourage you in your walk to serve God in ministry, or in life, then this book is for you. It is also a great book to be used within Bible Study groups.”

How to Knock Over a 7-Eleven and Other Ministry Training

FREE BOOK: How to Knock Over a 7-Eleven and Other Ministry Training

http://amzn.to/1fqv5Fm [Kindle version is free today!]

First, if you're looking for advice on how to rob a convenience store, this probably isn't for you. But, if you are looking for a good laugh that actually makes you think, all while seeking to grow your church (or, as the foreword suggests, your business), this may be more your speed.

Cheshire Publishing's first release is the hit book catching fire with pastors and church planters nation wide.

A true underdog story. Journey with these young leaders as they do church their way. A diner, driving school and an odd jobs company are just some of the ways this group used to build a thriving church. In "How to Knock Over a 7-Eleven and Other Ministry Training," author and senior pastor Michael Cheshire brings real-life stories to out of the box church work.

His humor is unmatched and the insights you get will cut to the core as you journey with him and his team as they build a church from scratch. This book takes you behind the scenes of a radically different way to build a church. It's a valuable resource for those planning to launch a new ministry or for leaders wanting to be more innovative in their community.

This is not a story of the traditional church. Michael and his team sacrifice more than a few sacred cows in their pursuit of God's calling. If you're determined to pursue a calling in any type of ministry, this book will only make your fire grow.

[From a 5-star review]  I love Michael's perspective on just about everything! I simply couldn't put it down. On several occasions I burst aloud into laughter!! (blinker fluid.... awesome!) I also found my self moved with emotion as my heart was challenged by what I was reading.

Michael does an amazing job of communicating the purpose of the church, all the while his passion leaping off the pages right into your heart! I believe every pastor desires his people to be the church and not just go to church. This book gives innovative ideas of how to practically be the church in real and authentic ways - I LOVE IT!

This book will be a must read for my church staff. It reminds us that ministry is so much more than teaching, preaching and counseling. You can also have a spectacular time in the process!!

This expanded edition of No More Sheets includes a devotional that helps you dig into the root of what is holding you back from reaching out beyond the sheets and grabbing all of the goodness that God has for you to enjoy.

One 5-star reviewer writes: “Reading this book was an eye opening experience. I have been re-reading parts to keep fighting to not go back to a dead-relationship. I can say for a fact that when Satan wants to stop you from doing the will of God he will send a person and they just might be in the sheets! Wasting your time and taking over your mind, creating a soul tie that is a struggle to get out of. I am three weeks out of the relationship and I see my errors.”

More or Less

FREE BOOK: More or Less: Choosing a Lifestyle of Excessive Generosity
Jeff Shinabarger

http://amzn.to/1jV7GiV [Kindle version is free]
http://bit.ly/FreeKindleReaders [for any device]

From David C Cook, publishers

In More or Less, Jeff Shinabarger calls readers to create their own social experiments to answer the question, “What is enough?”

It all started with one idea: What would happen if we created a culture in which we gave away whatever was more than enough for us? How would our habits change if we shed the excess of money, clutter, and food in our lives? In More or Less, readers will learn how to draw a line of “enough” in their consumer choices, how to see generosity as a chance to experience freedom in a greedy world, and how to make small changes now that will help others forever. As Shinabarger reminds them, defining “enough” is more than a responsibility—it is an opportunity to give hope.

[From a 5-star review]: “Who do you think of, when you think of generosity? We all know someone like this, who lives their life as though nothing they own is solely theirs. If someone needed something, they would take of what belongs to them to meet that need. The beautiful thing about More or Less is that it gives the ability to every single person to be able to take of what they have in excess and to meet the needs of others. It's an incredible challenge to share what we have with the world. We may think we don't have money or resources to this, but there are things I currently have that I no longer need, but someone else may be able to use to make their life better. It just takes a little intentionality to take the steps to make it happen.

In the book, there's no guilt involved, just merely a challenge to ask what is enough, and to make changes based on the answer. This book, and Jeff's journey has been incredibly challenging to me, as I've begun to ask these questions myself. I believe it is truly possible to change the world by opening our eyes to the simple changes we can make to help others succeed.

This book encourages me to make the world better, to learn from others, and to make small changes in my life with huge results for another.”

When Mark and Nancy Sheppard began missionary service in Liberia, Nancy had no idea what God would ask of her. Their idyllic first term was followed by the Liberian Civil War and a nightmarish year working among Liberian refugees in the Ivory Coast. Conditions were difficult, expectations overwhelming and the tensions of the war at their doorstep.

Fear, self-pity, resentment and depression haunted her. God used Nancy's difficult decision to follow her husband's leadership and remain in refugee work to begin an amazing spiritual journey—one that led to a clearer understanding of biblical womanhood as well as a deeper relationship with the Lord and with her husband.

The book chronicles Nancy's journey to true peace in the midst of very difficult circumstances. As God teaches her about genuine service, submission, sincere prayer, reverence and humility, she is totally and completely transformed. The scenarios are unique to Nancy, but every seeking Christian can fully identify with the spiritual lessons.

A unique reading experience, this interactive eBook contains many full color pictures as well as links to pertinent YouTube videos. This Kindle edition of "Confessions of a Transformed Heart" will not disappoint!

[From a 5-star review]: “When I first began this book, I thought it would be a nice little story about a lovely family going to the mission field to share God's love. Little did I know that Nancy's struggles and her desire to see God at work in her life personally would so mirror my own. I've never left the USA, but God's working in Nancy's heart in Liberia began a great working in my heart. I'm so excited to see this is e-book form. The pictures are beautiful and you get a real glimpse into her family. This book will change your life!”

Activating Your Dream Language

$5.00 BOOK: Activating Your Dream LanguageA Closer Look At Understanding The Realm Of Dreams And Visions, by Jerame Nelson (Author), Bob Jones (Foreword)

Bob Jones writes in the Forward, “Jerame is a new breed prophetic voice that God is raising up in this generation. Jerame has a calling to raise up the seers and carries a strong prophetic anointing as well as an awesome ability to teach and activate people in the realm of understanding dreams and visions.”

I know Jerame. He is indeed gifted in both the prophetic and in teaching and activating! And let’s admit it: God is doing more with dreams than we’re used to!

God wants to communicate directly with you in ways that only you can understand. And He will give you the ability to understand your dreams. In this book, Jerame reveals that dream interpretation is not a formula but is something God reveals in the context of relationship. Dreaming is one way that God connects with you and you can connect with God on a deeper level. Get ready to experience more dreams and connect with God on a deeper level that will lead you form dreams to visions to supernatural encounters of an intimate kind.

[From a 5-star review]: “Easy read with practical application. I highly recommend this book for someone seeking a better understanding of their dream life. It is a refreshing take on how much the father wishes to communicate with us.”

The recipes in the book are good, though they’re not going to be world-changing for salad snobs. They’re not boring salads: some interesting things in here. There are no photos. There are several tricks that I (who am NOT a salad snob; I’m more of a barbecue snob!) found helpful.

The author hopes to publish this as a full-color print version of the book, so she’s asking for readers to send her photos of the salads, for which she will pay cash. Nice idea.

The author is pretty excited about her book:

[From a 5-star review]  “Joseph Prince has out of the box thinking and it will challenge you in a lot of areas. If you're not afraid to have even your religious traditions challenged and grow in the things of God this is a must read! I've learned a lot of things for reading and listening to him.

One key thing I have gotten out of this book is - in the Old Testament when you took your sacrifice to the priest to be forgiven of your sins the priest did not examine the one brining the gift he only examined the lamb that was to be slain for the forgiveness of sins. This points to Jesus and what he did on the cross for us. Remember God's not looking at your sins He's looking at the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world - past, present, and future! That's all of them before there even was one committed!

The Divine Mentor, By Wayne Cordeiro

Being mentored by the Holy Spirit. This strikes me as a good resource for folks who have been trained by folks from Sunday Morning churches. I’ve been to Wayne’s church: he’s a gifted teacher!

From the publisher: Many believers settle for a spiritual routine that lacks God's presence. But what they truly want, and truly need, is a dynamic, vital, and intimate relationship with God. Here Wayne Cordeiro gently but directly shows readers how to move from routine to relationship--from mundane actions to fresh encounters--by learning to hear Him speak to them through the Bible. Through stories, lessons, and anecdotes, Cordeiro equips readers to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit as they read God's Word, enabling them to transform their daily quiet time with the Lord.

"When it comes to diving into the Book and letting God talk to me through its message, no one has mentored me more than Wayne Cordeiro." --Bill Hybels, Senior Pastor, Willow Creek Community Church

"Wayne Cordeiro's message and ministry are a gift to the kingdom of God. I'm confident his book will be an encouragement to all who read it." --Max Lucado, bestselling author

From a 5-star review: “In this book, Wayne Cordeiro endorses what is the well-spring of his spiritual practice. Pastor Cordeiro helps you through the process of learning to become a spiritual self-feeder. Gone are the days where you can complain you aren't being fed at church. Take up the responsibility for your own spiritual growth and allow this book to challenge and grow you. The journaling process outlined by the author is a time tested one that he uses to great effect in his personal life and in his church's ministry. Pick up this book, start journaling, and start growing in God's Word!”

Kingdom Churches: New Strategies For A Revival Generation

Pastor, author, and speaker Mark Perry addresses the growing holy discontent in the Western church, as millions of believers are longing for something more raw, more real, and more revolutionary than the current state of the church in the West.

Drawing on years of experience as a church planter, pastor, and consultant, Perry writes about a refreshing new move of God where the kingdom emerges first, ahead of the church, and where the priesthood of all believers becomes a beautiful reality.

With great respect for God's church, the author artfully addresses the 'spots' on the wedding gown of the church and then gets at the core of the holy discontent that is causing millions of believers to leave local churches. But this isn't another book simply describing problems. The tone is entirely positive and hopeful as Perry writes about practical solutions and solid ways forward. The church as a greenhouse, the balance of blessing and building, and so on--these perspectives and others greatly help the reader to understand a major paradigm shift that God Himself is bringing about to infuse fresh life into the local church of the 21st century.

Kingdom Churches is a book that will help members and leaders of local churches, as well as those who have long since left the local church, to find their way back to a place of healing and hope. As Perry sees it, there is a new 'recipe' for life-giving, effective kingdom churches, and it's time for the church in the West to 'taste better' than it has for decades!

Kingdom Churches is a book that will encourage, inspire, and inform. Every Christian, every church member, and every local church leadership team would benefit from reading this insightful, practical book.

From a 5-star review: “By reading Kingdom Churches the reader will gain two incredibly valuable lessons. The first lesson that the author gives the reader is an important framework, almost like a simple checklist, that the s/he can use to evaluate the important components of the reader's church - things like culture, vision, systems, outcomes, and inputs. Next, the author gives us an even more valuable lesson - how to truly turn the church upside down so that every person in church has a legitimate opportunity to engage in kingdom work at a high level and serve with power that is rarely seen in church today. One last note from reading Kingdom Churches is that the author evidently loves the Church - he's not writing to tear down any part of the church, or to promote an easy 'how-to' process, rather he wrote this to help others.
