This classic gives the account of several people who were present during the great Welsh Revival at the turn of the 20th century. This revival came just before the famed Azusa Street revival in Los Angeles, California. In fact, Frank Bartleman (of Azusa) corresponded with Evan Roberts (of Wales) and requested prayer for revival.

This edition includes:
  • Active Table of Contents
  • Bonus article following the revival by H. Elvet Lewis

From the reviews:

Lots of individual stories illustrating the movement and the change in lives.
This was not a revival led by men and women's strength of preaching and organizing. The Spirit came. The people were humble. There was much fruit!
We can learn from this! And pray accordingly.

Makes much of God while simultaneously and appropriately downplaying Evan Roberts role in the revival. Much more balanced theologically than I expected, and therefore much more engaging and instructive as an inspiration to yearn, pray and work toward a fresh awakening in my life, my church and my city. Highly recommended.
